Drug-Disease Interactions

Drug-disease interactions refers to avoiding specific drugs in patients with certain conditions because the drugs may worsen or exacerbate the disease. For example, a patient with dementia who is given an anticholinergic may become more confused. Drug-disease interactions can increase costs and decrease the patient's quality of life.
