The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has established quarterly data submission deadlines for hospitals participating in either the Hospital Quality Alliance: Improving Care Through Information (HQA) initiative or the Reporting Hospital Quality Data for Annual Payment Update (RHQDAPU) initiative.
The tables above includes the deadlines for Clinical Measure Sets/Strata and Initial Patient Population and Sampling data. The data submission deadlines are also available for previous quarters, 2004 through 2008.
Data can be transmitted via My QualityNet to the QIO Clinical Warehouse at any time. However, only data submitted according to the deadlines listed above will qualify for inclusion in the HQA and/or RHQDAPU initiatives.
The required clinical data for each facility must be submitted to and successfully accepted into the QIO Clinical Warehouse no later than 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the 15th calendar day after the fourth month following the end of each quarter.
The required Initial Patient Population and Sampling data must be submitted to and successfully accepted into the QIO Clinical Warehouse by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the first calendar day after the fourth month following the end of each quarter.
The required Structural Measures data for January 1, 2010, through June 30, 2010, must be submitted via My QualityNet no later than 11:59 p.m. Central Time on August 15, 2010.
The required Data Accuracy & Completeness Acknowledgement electronic submission for FY 2011 payment must be submitted via My QualityNet no later than 11:59 p.m. Central Time on August 15, 2010.
