CART Module Designer 1.2

CART Module Designer allows you to:

  • create your own measure sets
  • add new data collection questions to the existing CART measure sets:
    • Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
    • Emergency Department (ED)
    • Heart Failure (HF)
    • Pneumonia (PN)
    • Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP)

Measure sets created or modified using CART Module Designer can be exported and easily integrated into CART for abstraction. (However, CART need not be installed on a workstation in order to use Module Designer.) To use CART Module Designer, follow installation procedures for your workstation configuration:

NOTE: Like CART-Inpatient 4.6, CART Module Designer 1.2 is not backward compatible; it cannot be used in conjunction with discharge periods prior to April 1, 2009. If you have created your own measure sets or have added questions to the core measure sets within a prior version of CART Module Designer, these will need to be re-created for use with the new QMS platform. An older version of CART Module Designer can be maintained for discharge periods prior to April 1, 2009.
