Hospital Compare Preview Reports now available

January 2012 Hospital Compare preview reports are now available on My QualityNet for participating hospitals.
Note: The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has modified Hospital Compare release dates, beginning with the April 2011 releases, to be one month later than in prior years. Hospitals can anticipate future releases to be in January, April, July, and October.
The preview reports are available November 9 through December 9, 2011. The data in the preview reports will be reported on Hospital Compare, the CMS website for Medicare beneficiaries and the general public.
Preview report resources available
Two Help Guides—an Inpatient Help Guide (PDF-1.1 MB) and an Outpatient Help Guide (PDF-103 KB)—may be accessed on My QualityNet from the "Need Help" link, located on the respective Preview Report screen.
In addition, both an Inpatient Preview Report Overview (PDF-25 KB) and an Outpatient Preview Report Overview (PDF-32 KB) have been provided for a quick reference of the January 2012 Hospital Compare preview content.
Hospitals are encouraged to carefully review the Help Guides and Overview documents and direct questions to the appropriate program or measure-specific contacts.
