800 hospitals selected for FY 2013 medical record validation

The 800 Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) hospitals randomly selected for medical record validation for Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 payment determination have been identified and are now being notified via e-mail. The list of selected hospitals will be posted on QualityNet in approximately one week. (Hospitals not selected will not have cases validated.)

Once FY 2012 confidence interval (for First Quarter 2010, Second Quarter 2010 and Third Quarter 2010 records) is calculated, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will notify and request records for validation from hospitals that did not meet the validation requirement.

QualityNet requires Internet Explorer with JavaScript enabled on it.

Steps to enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer
  1. Click on the Tools menu option at the top of the page.
  2. Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu.
  3. From the dialog box, choose the Security tab.
  4. Click on Custom Level.
  5. Set Active Scripting to Enable.
  6. Click OK to close the custom settings dialog.
  7. Click OK to close the Options dialog.
