Structural Measures/Data Accuracy and Completeness Acknowledgement data entry begins July 1

June 25, 2010

A tool for use by hospitals and vendors in submitting Structural Measures/Data Accuracy and Completeness Acknowledgement data for the Reporting Hospital Quality Data for Annual Payment Update (RHQDAPU) Program for Fiscal Year (FY) 2011 is now available on My QualityNet for data entry beginning July 1.

Structural Measures must be submitted between July 1 and August 15, 2010 for RHQDAPU participation during First Quarter 2010 and Second Quarter 2010 (January 1 — June 30, 2010). The three Structural Measures are:

  • Participation in a Systematic Database for Cardiac Surgery
  • Participation in a Systematic Clinical Database Registry for Stroke Care
  • Participation in a Systematic Clinical Database Registry for Nursing Sensitive Care

A Data Accuracy and Completeness Acknowledgement is also required between July 1 and August 15, 2010, for the FY2011 Annual Payment Update (APU). This is a new requirement for RHQDAPU-participating hospitals, to electronically acknowledge that the data they submitted for the FY2011 RHQDAPU APU is accurate and complete, to the best of their knowledge.

The Structural Measures questions and Data Accuracy and Completeness Acknowledgement will be available for all hospitals to answer; however, it they are a FY2011 requirement only for hospitals with an active RHQDAPU Notice of Participation.

A collection tool available on My QualityNet (My Tasks > Manage Measures > Hospital Inpatient > View/Edit Structural Measures/Data Acknowledgement) will allow hospitals and authorized vendors to view and answer the Structural Measure questions and the Data Accuracy and Completeness Acknowledgement. Vendors will not be able to upload this data via an XML file.

For more information, see the recorded training session and User's Guide available on the regarding the Structural Measures/Data Acknowldgement page.
