Proposed CY 2010 OPPS rule published, open for comment

Proposed changes to the Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) for CY2010 have been published in the July 2, 2009, Federal Register and are open for public comment until August 31, 2009. The changes are outlined in the proposed rule, CMS-1414-P (PDF - 44 MB), which can be viewed and downloaded from the Hospital Outpatient Regulation and Notices listed on the CMS website. The proposed OPPS changes would be applicable to services furnished on or after January 1, 2010.
