HCAHPS data submission deadline extended

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has extended the data transmission deadline from January 14 to January 16 for hospitals participating in the HCAHPS portion of the Hospital Quality Alliance (HQA): Improving Care through Information and/or the Reporting Hospital Quality Data for Annual Payment Update (RHQDAPU) initiative(s).

HCAHPS data can be transmitted via My QualityNet to the warehouse for Third Quarter 2008 (July 1 through September 30, 2008) discharges through 11:59 p.m. Central Standard Time, Friday, January 16, 2009.

Hospitals and vendors submitting data are reminded, after uploading files and receiving processing notification, to review their HCAHPS Warehouse Submission or Feedback reports (located within the Reports section of My QualityNet) to verify the accuracy of their data submission and ensure any submission issues are resolved prior to the extended submission deadline.

  1. Click on the Tools menu option at the top of the page.
  2. Select Internet Options from the drop-down menu.
  3. From the dialog box, choose the Security tab.

  6. Click OK to close the custom settings dialog.
  7. Click OK to close the Options dialog.
