FY 2007 IPPS proposed rule changes on display, open for public comment

The public comment period on federal Regulation CMS-1488-P, Medicare Program: Proposed Changes to the Hospital Inpatient Prospective Payment Systems and Fiscal Year 2007, runs through June 12, 2006. Included in the regulation are proposed changes to the Reporting Hospital Quality Data for Annual Payment Update (RHQDAPU) initiative.
The proposed rule was published in the April 25 Federal Register and can be downloaded in one of two formats from the IPPS Regulations and Notices section of the CMS website. Details regarding the RHQDAPU program begin on page 97 of the first downloadable file (Published 04/25/2006), or page 326 of the second (Display Copy).
